Data Center Specialist / Network Support Technicians

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Data Center Specialist operates all Data Center equipment. Regularly monitor system performance. Analyzes potential problems and takes corrective action or seeks assistance.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor the Data Center to ensure all systems are operating at maximum efficiency.
  • Follow system schedules and procedures, accurately recording all events.
  • Performs system backup procedures, ensure backups are completed successfully.
  • Analyze all System messages, follow problem determination procedures, contact proper support personnel, initiate required action and follow through
  • Maintain a clean and organized Data Center and Network Operations Center (NOC). Ensure equipment and work areas are kept clean.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of, and enforce all operational security and emergency procedures.
  • Perform other functions within the Data Center as assigned.
  • Maintain Client / Server Database with up to date server information, server location, APC Information, IP Addresses and passwords.
  • Maintain / Edit up to date support knowledgebase
  • Basic Level 1 Troubleshooting for client issues
  • Responsible for completing detailed trouble logs for all errors that occur on assigned shift.
  • Receive and deliver effective communications and instructions.
DAYS/HOURS - Shifts Available
Monday - Friday: 7:00pm - 1:00am
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am - 8:00pm, 8:00pm - 8:00am

*Shift Differential available*

EXPERIENCE:

  • HS Diploma
  • Data Center experience preferred, not necessary.
